Grupul Eurolines preconizeaza ca va incheia anul 2012 cu o cifra de afaceri de aproximativ 243 milioane de lei fata de 183,2 milioane de lei in 2011, a anuntat, joi, Dragos Anastasiu, presedintele Eurolines Romania, intr-o conferinta despre planurile de viitor ale companiei.

The activity of the company Touring Europabus Romania that owns the travel agency network Eurolines and TUI TravelCenter, accounts for 70 percent of the Group's turnover for 2012.


'The tourism business line saw a significant increase in the transaction volume, 121 percent in 2012 compared to 2011, with the TUI TravelCenter brand being an important trump card. We estimate a turnover of 316 million lei for the entire group in 2013, up 30 percent compared to 2012,' says Dragos Anastasiu.


At the end of this year, Touring Europabus Romania will register a 13 percent increase as regards services for international transport by coach, operated under the brand Eurolines, up to 36.3 million lei. This figure will go up by 8 percent in 2013, according to the company. Sales of airline tickets ticked up 45 percent in 2012 to 74.58 million lei, with the 2013 estimates showing an increase of 18 percent for this segment. Significant surges were also recorded by other companies of the group.


Nova Travel, the Group's tour operator, recorded an increase of 30 percent in 2012 against 2011. This increase is the result of the first charter flight offered by TUI from Romania to Antalya. Travel packages for other three new destinations, Crete, Kos and Rhodes, will be distributed via the TUI TravelCenter next summer.

'Investments related to fleet renewal stood at 600,000 - 700,000 euros in 2012, with a similar value to be also invested in 2013 in the acquisition of 3-5 new coaches. We opened ten agencies in 2012, with each agency entailing an investment of about 30,000 euros. But, our main objective for 2013 is to become Romanians' first choice when it comes to travel agencies,' Dragos Anastasiu also said.


The investments in the image of TUI TravelCenter have amounted so far to roughly 400,000 euros.
