Daniel Rusen joined Microsoft Romania in 2011 as Product Marketing Manager, and one year later he took over as Distributed Lead, with the mission of leading the company's business partners into a deep transformation process in the direction of cloud services.
Over the past three years, Daniel has led the cloud business team in Cloud Business Lead as his role in ensuring synergy between marketing and operations, focusing on business objectives of the company on the Romanian market - adoption of cloud services as part of the democratization of access to technology for companies, including cloud products and cloud services of world market reputation such as Azure or Office 365.
With a business experience of over 17 years in the field of telecommunications and IT and with a passion for technology that has been cultivated since the years of study at the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Daniel Rusen took over from December 1 a strategic role within Microsoft Romania. As Director of Marketing and Operations, Daniel will lead his team in his efforts to accelerate the process of digital transformation across all segments of the Romanian market.

Bogdan Popescu, from whom Daniel Rusen will take over his new job role, starting on December 1st, he will join the CEE Enterprise team as CEE Enterprise Sales Excellence Director and Head of Strategic Enterprise Initiatives.
He will be responsible for the operations of Commercial Enterprise Business in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Bogdan Popescu continues a solid career path with Microsoft Romania, where he has assured the role of interim General Manager in the last 4 months until the appointment of Violeta Luca in this position as part of a remarkable career started in Shell where he worked for 15 as well as in the METRO Group for which he worked for 5 years, 10 of those over 25 years working abroad (Holland, Spain, Bulgaria).
Microsoft opened its first office in Romania in 1996 and is one of the largest players in the global and local software and cloud solutions market, with over 1700 employees in Bucharest and Timisoara, being at the same time the main technological support hub of the region.
