47 graduates join EY Romania

EY Romania announces that 47 new graduates have joined the company, thus the total number of the employees reaching 495 people

Approximately 60% of the new employees have joined the Assurance practice, while the rest of them are noe part of the Tax & Legal, Transactions and Advisory departments.

 

The new recruits are among the most talented and motivated graduates of 2013, taking into consideration the great number of applications received and the fact that EY ranks third as employer of choice for Romanian graduates[1] with high grades, when it comes to choosing a preferred company.

 

Over 2000 of students from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara and Oradea, applied this year to recruitment process that consisted of written evaluations and interviews with EY’s HR specialists and managers. What counted the most were candidates’ verbal, logical and numerical skills, well-written and spoken English, specialty knowledge, as well as candidates’ compatibility with EY’s organizational culture.

 

As most of the new joiners have graduated this year, working at EY will be actually their first experience of a workplace; therefore, the company takes a great responsibility in their professional development and career orientation. In this way, EY respomds to the challenge of growing a new generation of business leaders by offering numerous training opportunities and work experiences, combined with access to global resources and best practices. Moreover, EY managers act as mentors, providing coaching and guidance to the younger colleagues who are at the beginning of their career.

 

The young graduates are part of the Y generation which has different requests about their workplace compared with the previous generations. EY offers a flexible work schedule, focuses on results, provides interesting professional challenges, and prepares its employees for an international career.

This investment reflects the exceptional results that the young EY experts obtain during the exam sessions they sit in for different international certifications, such as: ACCA, ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA), Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) and Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT).
