Turnover of trade in motor vehicles, motorcycles decreases 4.5 percent in first 10 months

The turnover of the trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles decreased both in unadjusted terms and in terms adjusted for the number of business days by 4.5 percent and seasonality by 4.2 percent, in the first ten months of this year compared with the same period of last year, according to a National Statistics Institute's (INS) release

'The turnover of the market services for population decreased from the January 1 - October 31, 2011 period, both in unadjusted terms by 1.2 percent and in terms adjusted for the number of business days and seasonality by 1.2 percent,' the document reads.


'The activity of market services for population, in unadjusted terms, over January 1 - October 31, 2012 recorded a turnover by 1.2 percent lower compared with the January 1 - October 31, 2011 period, derived from gambling and other recreational activities (-4.8 percent) and hotel- and restaurant-related activities (-1.3 percent). Increases were recorded in the activities of travel agencies and tour operators (+21.0 percent), activities of washing, cleaning and dyeing textiles and furs (+9.3 percent) and in hairdressing and embellishment activities (+6.2 percent), show the INS data.


According to those data, the activity of market services for population in terms adjusted for the number of business days and seasonality recorded in the first 10 months a turnover by 1.2 percent lower from the same period a year ago.
