IKEA announced today, during a hybrid ceremony, the start of construction work for its new IKEA Timisoara store, located in Dumbravita, through which the company aims to bring the IKEA way of life closer to the people in western Romania. The ceremony was attended by representatives of local authorities, Horia Bugarin (mayor of Dumbravita), Alin Nica (president of Timis County Council) and Dominic Fritz (mayor of Timisoara), and IKEA leaders, Ekaterina Egorova (CEO, IKEA Southern Europe).
