IDC: ARCSERVE stands out from the competition approaches with the new All- in-One platform

Arcserve's equipment integrates on-and off-site applications for disaster recovery, backup and high availability

Arcserve, the world's most experienced provider of data protection solutions, recently announced the launch of the third-generation Appliance Series, designed to provide organizations with an all-in-one solution that integrates on-site and offsite functionality and applications disaster recovery (DR) and high availability, a complete solution that can be deployed in less than 15 minutes.

The Appliance Series solutions designed for disaster recovery enable companies to make copies of physical and virtual systems directly on equipment, in the private or public cloud.

The solution offers a storage area extension and onsite hardware support in up to four hours with high availability for continuous data protection, automated fail-over and failback with a push of a button.

The new solution eliminates onsite and offsite fragmented products for disaster recovery processes by integrating heterogeneous software, high-level redundancy hardware and cloud services.

The solution also offers an effective capacity twice as high as previous models and a deduplication ratio of up to 20: 1.

The ensuring of application availability is a challenge for IT teams, as Arcserve's recent study showed, with only 26% of IT decision makers extremely confident in their ability to successfully disaster recovery.

In addition, a survey made by IDC found that over the next 24 months, 43% of IT decision makers intend to move their local private cloud operations, and 37% intend to move to a privately hosted cloud.

"As organizations are transforming to meet the needs of digital consumers, cost control and the complexity of disaster recovery processes becomes an imperative," said Phil Goodwin, research director at IDC.

"More and more companies are moving towards hybrid environments to better manage costs and ensure the right processes of disaster recovery. By integrating DR with a dedicated app, Arcserve stands by the competition approach and comes with a turnkey offer dedicated to the availability of applications. This approach simplifies DR and leads to better use of infrastructure resources "

Veracomp, the unique distributor of Arcserve solutions in Romania, today organized a seminar dedicated to its partners today, featuring the new Arcserve Appliance solution.

"Promoting the most innovative technologies and solutions is one of Veracomp's priorities. Equally, our role as an advisory distributor is to ensure that partners have access to information and educational programs, and that know-how transfer is efficiently delivered throughout the distribution chain so that the benefits of the technology are fully exploited , "Says Valentin Agachi, BDM Arcserve, Veracomp.

The third generation Appliance Series is currently available globally. Full details of the features and performance of the solution are available on the manufacturer's website.
