How to become, in 3 years, one of the largest restaurant chains in Romania

Can you imagine the next McDonald’s being founded in Romania, by a Romanian entrepreneur? And not only that. This type of fast-food network would sell products prepared on-the-spot, without colouring agents or preservatives. The new fast-food concept would offer fast tasty and healthy food at an accessible price for all categories of clients.

Dan Isai went from the dream of creating a fast-food restaurant chain to building, in just three years, one of the largest ‘healthy-food’ restaurant chains in Romania, with over 40 locations in 20 cities, at the end of 2015. As a recognition of the remarkable business results and the accelerated rhythm of growth of Salad Box, Dan Isai received the title EY Emerging Entrepreneur Of The Year – Romania 2015, within this year’s edition of the program EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
