The action, that has an important educational side, will take place between 5-9 March, in the commercial centres real,- from Bucuresti Vitan, Bacau, Brasov, Craiova, Sibiu and Targu Mures.
Practically, in this period, the bank's representatives will be in the commercial galleries from the mentioned locations and will tell the customers the "secrets" of a credit card: what grace period means, how a credit card can be used in an intelligent way, as well as which are its costs and benefits.
According to an online survey made by Banca Romaneasca in May 2012, over half of the 9.093 respondents stated that they know the following costs of the credit cards: management cost for the credit card account (63,76%), the interest rate for the transactions made by card (55,59%), the interest rate for cash withdrawal from ATMs (54,81%). The costs known by approximately one third of the respondents are those for exceeding the reimbursement term (36,88%), DAE (35,7%) and the costs for exceeding the credit limit (32,66%).
"In the last years, it was noticed an improvement of the way in which the customers use their credit cards, which was materialised in lower costs for them. We think that it is necessary to continue educating the public how to use the credit cards in an intelligent way, especially on the segment of those who have never had such a product", stated Lakis Couninis, Executive Director Retail Unit in Banca Romaneasca.
During the action unfolded by Banca Romaneasca in Galeriile real,-, the customers will be able to participate in the raffle launched in these locations, by filling in some forms that will be collected between 25 February and 9 March. Banca Romaneasca offers on 11.03.2013, by lucky draw, a 500 lei prize for each of the 6 locations where the campaign will take place.
