The order no. 791/2020 concerning the granting of the state of emergency certificates to the economic operators whose activities were affected by the SARS-COV-2 pandemic (the "order")

The Minister of Economics, Energy and Business Environment has, therefore, issued Order regulating the procedure by which such certificates will be issued so that the economic operators affected by the SARS-COV-2 pandemic may benefit of the Government’s extraordinary measures

CONTEXT

In the context of the evolution of the pandemic generated by the spread of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the Government issued Emergency Ordinance no. 29/2020 regarding some economical and budget-fiscal measures („EO 29”) as well as Emergency Ordinance no. 30/2020 for the amendment and completion of some normative acts, as well as for establishing measures in the field of social protection in the context of the epidemiological situation determined by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (“EO 30”).

Both of these legislative documents, as well as the Decree of establishing the emergency state in Romania no. 195/2020 issued by the President of Romania, mention that the Ministry of Economics, Energy and Business Environment will issue, at the request of the economic operators, certificates attesting the state of emergency.
