The number of Romanians who daily make card payments grew by 45% between March and December 2015

According to a MasterCard study, which analyze the behavior of card usage in Romania, one of five Romanians use the card to pay for purchases worth less than RON 10.

The most common card payments are of low value, three quarters of respondents stating that, as a rule, use the card for the acquisition of cart up to RON 75.

This trend is encouraging, showing a change of the mindset in the local market: the migration from cash toward electronic payments seems to make its way into consumer behavior of the Romanians, if we consider that 85% of respondents say they use the card for current shopping payments.
