The Romanian Brewing Association announces the evolution of the beer market in 2020:
- The volume of the beer market remained at the level of the previous year; registered an evolution of + 0.5% in volume, reaching 16.75 million hl
- In the context of Covid-19, Romanians preferred disposable packaging: non-returnable glass, plastic or can
- The share of the HORECA sector in beer sales decreased to 8% in 2020, from 15% the previous year
- Beer blends and flavored beers increased by 6%, while beer specialties decreased by 28%
