Romania’s banking system is solid

Several banks activating on the Romanian market, as well, have scored poor results at the European Central Bank’s stress tests. How does this impact Romania’s banking system?

Adrian Crivii, General Manager of Darian DRS SA, thinks that Romania’s banking system is solid, well supervised by the National Bank, and the fact that some of the European groups which have subsidiaries in Romania have failed the stress test will not influence the banking market in our country very powerfully. The only impact will probably be that these banks will limit their activity, will try to sell the non-performing assets or they will try to start a consolidation process.
