Private Equity investment funds continue to register better performances than European stock exchanges

The gradual improvement of the European economic situation, the increasingly liquid financial markets and the improving conditions for stock exchange listing generated a rise in the number of exists operated by PEs in 2013, according to the ninth study conducted by EY regarding PEs in Europe.

In 2013, 77 investment fund exists were registered, compared to 61 in 2012.

 

The EY study – Taking stock: how do private equity investors create value? A study of 2013 European exits – analyzes the results and the types of exists operated during 2005-2013 by 604 big European companies controlled by private equity funds.
