In Romania, unemployment among young people reached a record level of 25.7% in the first trimester of 2014.
The rate of unemployment among young people in the OECD countries reached 15.7%, while in the EU countries, it reached 23.4% at the beginning of 2014, with little variations compared to the previous year in both cases. In Romania, although last year the rate of unemployment among young people was below the European average, it reached 25.7% in the first trimester of 2014, after a constant rise in the past three trimesters.
