The global mergers and aquisitions market is reaching a record level in the second half of 2014

The global value of transactions recorded a rise of 50% in the first semester of 2014 compared to the first semester of 2013 and the highest level since the boom in 2007.

The value of mergers and acquisitions carried out in the first half of 2014 reached USD 1,7 trillion, marking the highest level after the boom before the global financial crisis. In contrast, the activity level remains low and the constant transaction levels show the tendency for fewer but bigger transactions, according to a study conducted by EY.
