The Logistics Performance Index (IPL) for 2023, calculated on the basis of six criteria and a transparent algorithm, published by the World Bank every two years, places Romania in 51st place out of 139 countries. The good news is that Romania is in the first half of the ranking, after Western countries with a tradition in international trade and logistics activity with a long history. As benchmarks, Poland occupies the 26th place, and the Netherlands and Germany are on the 3rd place in this ranking.
