Romanians hold twice more credits than savings

GfK study results analyzing the banking and security markets in Central and Eastern Europe capture very different habits in using credit and savings products among the 16 analyzed countries

Since 2000, GfK constantly monitors the banking and the insurance markets in Central and Eastern Europe. GfK Financial Intelligence measures banking habits of residents aged over 15 years in 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe: Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania.

 

Beyond the analisys of attitudes changes in different markets, another function of the study is to provide key indicators on the use of financial services, insurance and banking products: current accounts, debit cards, credit cards, loans and various savings products.
