Retailer Profi reaches 149 units in Romania and opens the second storehouse

Discount retailer Profi Rom Food, controlled by the Polish investment fund Enterprise Investors announced it opened recently two new stores at Galati and Pitesti and develops the company’s second storehouse, at Logcenter Ploiesti

Pawel Musial, GM of PROFI Rom Food said that the retailer opened 45 retail units in Romania during 2012 and it also signed the contract for the opening of the storehouse located at Pitesti.
 
In 2009, Enterprise Investors (EI)  fund announced that Polish Enterprise Fund VI (PEF VI), the private equity fund managed by EI, has signed an agreement to buy out 100% of Profi Rom Food Group, one of the largest supermarket chains in Romania, in a  EUR 66 million deal. Following the transaction, EI controls 100 percent of the share capital of Profi Rom Food, Albinuta Shops and DT Logistic.
 
The recently opened store at Galati operates within Aurora commercial complex and delivers a total area of 487 sqm and a sales area of 326 sqm.
