METRO Romania, the largest local wholesaler, is accelerating its investments in the convenience segment with a new concept, LaDoiPasi Extra, designed to serve urban and peri-urban communities. This concept already boasts 30 stores in Bucharest. The blend of expertise gained from existing stores and the forthcoming expansions will help us finalize the trajectory of the business model we will offer to our future business partners.
The new format enhances METRO Romania's convenience retail portfolio, which includes the LaDoiPasi franchise, now exceeding 2400 stores.
"LaDoiPasi Extra is a natural step for METRO based on the experience accumulated with the LaDoiPasi franchise. It is a format we are still testing to optimize its parameters given its distinctly urban audience. However, we have already made significant progress and are confident it is shaping into a valuable project for our target audience. Strategically, La DoiPasi Extra also aims to bridge our HoReCa customers with the convenience segment, integrating customized food-to-go and ready meals solutions, which are increasingly attractive to end consumers," said Cristian Stoenica, Franchise Director and member of the Board of METRO Convenience Romania, the company operating LaDoiPasi Extra.
Located in dense urban areas, LaDoiPasi Extra stores range from 60 to 200 square meters and offer an extensive variety of food and non-food products, focusing on ready-to-eat, ready-to-go, and ready-to-cook solutions.
The LaDoiPasi Extra stores are modern formats, intuitively organized for quick shopping experiences, digitally integrated with METRO's infrastructure, ensuring efficient supply and management processes with minimal effort from the teams.
