"Business Evolution", the most important road show of conferences dedicated to the top management of companies and entrepreneurs, attracted in Brasov over 150 participants interested in learning more about dedicated banking solutions, European, governmental or PNRR non-reimbursable funds, about digitalization, GDPR , sales, sustainability or the green transition.

The results of the barometer about the local business environment
The barometer analyzed the answers received from entrepreneurs and managers who participated in the Business Evolution conference in Brasov. The organizers applied a questionnaire consisting of 12 questions. The 105 responses collected are as follows: 30% from companies with a turnover below 250,000 Eur, 27% from companies with a turnover between 250,000 Eur and 1 million Eur, and 30% from companies with a turnover between 1 million Eur and 10 million Eur.
The results of the barometer show that 82% of the responding companies expect an increase in turnover in 2023, 64% an increase in profit, and 42% an increase in the number of employees. If 67% of companies are very confident and somewhat confident in the favorable evolution of the national economy, the percentage increases to 71% when it comes to the favorable evolution of the industry of which the company is a part.
On the first places among the actions that will help to increase sales this year were mentioned: expanding sales to new local or international markets (56%), adding new products or services to the portfolio (54%), increasing investments in marketing and communication (54%) and opening new distribution channels (51%).
On the other hand, the most important obstacles for entrepreneurs and managers in business development are the following: bureaucracy (45%), level of taxation (45%), lack of entrepreneurial education (45%), uncertainty in the business environment (42%).
In order to improve the development of entrepreneurship in Romania, the managers and entrepreneurs present at Business Evolution Brasov indicated the following measures that would have the greatest impact in the next 3 years: ensuring the stability of the regulatory and taxation environment (60%), simplifying regulations and taxation (57%), adapting to new technological changes (43%).

In the opening of the conference, Emilia Dirstaru, Regional Director IMM Transilvania, Raiffeisen Bank Romania spoke about financing solutions for SMEs and pointed out the indicators and other key elements followed in the analysis of the credit application.
At the workshop in the second part of the event, she reviewed the steps of a project with European funds, pointed out frequent mistakes and how they can be avoided through the collaboration between the company, the structural funds consultant and the bank.
"The event in Brasov brought the local entrepreneurial environment together with specialists in financing, digital solutions and sustainability. It was a very good context to take the pulse of the market and exchange ideas, so that together we can find solutions for business development", said Emilia Dirstaru, Transilvania SME Regional Director, Raiffeisen Bank Romania.
Gabriel Traistaru, Digital Director, Telekom Romania Mobile showed that Romania is ranked 27th in the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) and spoke in his presentation about digital technologies and solutions that SMEs can access, as well as ways in who can protect their business from cyber risks.
Irina Vijoli, Founding Partner DigiQuery spoke about the challenges that businesses face in a world characterized by volatility, uncertainty and constant change. She empathized the importance of maintaining the right balance between tactical and strategic thinking and presented a valuable tool for doing so: the business model canvas.
Melinda Morariu, CEO and Co-Founder, BRIDGE-to-INFORMATION explained that although businesses are surrounded by an ocean of data, produced internally, by the company, or existing externally, from other sources, a major problem arises when it's about using the data, namely that most data is not ready-to-use.
Florentina Parosu, Center Zonal Director, REI Finance Advisors presented the current and future opportunities to access European, governmental and PNRR non-reimbursable funds for business development, digitization and sustainability.
In the second part of the conference, the speakers presented practical solutions that, applied in the company, lead to the improvement of results.
Dumitru Ion, CEO, Doingbusiness.ro and Kompass Romania spoke to the entrepreneurs and managers present about the resources they can use to sell more and on more markets. He also explained how they should proceed to generate new opportunities.
Cristian Taban, Executive Director, Dent Estet presented how entrepreneurs can achieve excellent results and a culture of trust in the company, focusing on people and their strengths.
Tudor Galos, Senior Consultant, Tudor Galos Consulting explained the five common mistakes made in relation to GDPR requirements and showed how GDPR compliance increases company value, optimizes operations and lowers costs.
At the end, Elena Badea, Marketing & Sales Expert, Managing Director, Valoria Business Solutions underlined the most important elements that must be addressed for sales performance: skills, technology, processes and people, motivated, competitive and responsible.
Radu Soviani, the well-known economic analyst and journalist, moderated the event, contributing and facilitating the constant interaction between the audience and the experts invited as speakers.

The Business Evolution road show will continue in September with the edition in Iasi, followed by the one in Constanța in October. Each time a barometer of the local business environment will be carried out.
