Almost two months have passed since the Member States (including Romania) started to apply the new rules regarding transactions with excisable products (with excise duty paid) circulating on the territory of the European Union. More precisely, movements of excise goods (for example, tobacco, alcohol, energy products) for which excise duties have been paid in the Member State of dispatch are digitally processed through the electronic platform EMCS (Excise Movement and Control System) to the place of destination on EU territory.
