In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown, telemedicine was one of the solutions that limited the spread of the virus and, at the same time, helped the health system manage the increase in demand for regular consultations. Thus, private health networks, as well as state units, have provided patients with platforms for virtual consultations, many of which are still active.
