The global IPO volume decreased in the first quarter of 2016, as issuers are waiting for the market conditions to improve

The IPO activity at global level has dropped by 39% in volume and 70% in value, compared to the same period in 2015.

Globally, the initial public offering activity (IPO) decreased significantly in the first quarter of 2016, with a total of 167 public
offerings that attracted USD 12.1 billion, marking the lowest quarterly level recorded since 2009, with a decrease of 39% in
volume and 70% of total capital attracted, compared to the same period last year, according to the quarterly report EY Global IPO
Trends 2016 1Q.
