The carbon tax enters into force in the autumn of this year. What rules has the European Commission established for imports of products from intensively polluting industries?

In order to keep its producers competitive, but also to avoid the relocation of production from the European Union to third countries, the European Commission introduces a carbon tax applicable to imports of products from highly polluting industries, namely for producers of cement, cast iron, iron and steel, aluminum, fertilizers, electricity and hydrogen, all of which are considered "CBAM products".
