PwC Top 100 listed companies in the world: The market value registered the first significant decrease in the last 14 years, by 11%

The evolution reflects the difficult context for stocks due to the continuous tightening of fiscal policy and record inflation, to which is added the uncertainty in the American and European banking sector

The market value of the 100 largest listed companies in the world decreased by 11% between April 2022 and March 2023, to 30.86 trillion dollars, being the first significant decrease since 2009, according to the PwC global analysis "Top 100 companies according market capitalization". Between April 2021 and March 2022, the market value had reached a record of 34.7 trillion dollars.
