Considering that Romania is facing a major emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government issued the Emergency Ordinance no. 33/2020, through which procedural-fiscal measures are established to support the tax payers paying corporate income tax and the taxation of micro-enterprises, and it is proposed to postpone the VAT payment for imports of medical devices or equipment and sanitary materials that can be used to prevent, limit, treat and combat COVID-19 carried out during the period for which the state of emergency was established.
