Ludwik Sobolewski pleads for a partnership between Romania and Poland

It would be a positive thing if relations between Romania and Poland became closer. It would be in their mutual advantage, before the world turns its attention towards them, declared the General Manager of Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE), Ludwik Sobolewski, on Sunday, in an editorial published in the Polish daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita, entitled ‘Two tigers from Eastern Europe’.

According to Ludwik Sobolewski, Poland and Romania are the two largest countries in the region, both regarding their population and their GDP (measured by the purchasing power of the population), reports AGERPRES. Together, the two countries are a considerable market, inhabited by almost 58 million people, with just a million fewer than in Italy (60.8 million), Great Britain (64.8 million) and France (66.4 million). Moreover, Poland and Romania both have stable economies.
