Romanians use fixed-line internet from home in order to get informed and talk to friends on social networks

Most fixed-line internet users in Romania (90%) use their home internet to get informed, while over three quarters (77%) access social networks, shows a market study conducted by the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM), released on Monday.

According to ANCOM, besides the need for information, Romanian uses access the fixed-line internet from home for communication, 75% of the respondents talking to family or friends using instant messenger, and 71% of them by e-mails, reports AGERPRES.


Moreover, recreational activities are third among the interests of the users of fixed-line internet from home, as shown by the 61% of respondents who watch online TV programmes, video clips or movies, but also the 52% of the subjects who access the fixed-line internet from home in order to play online games.
