After many years of stagnation of the local tourism, a law which might revitalize this sector was promulgated at the end of June.
The law of vacation vouchers stipulates that employees receive each year vouchers worth maximum six gross wages, which can be used only for the Romanian tourism. The vouchers are compulsory in the public sector, while in the private system there can be negotiations between the employee and the employer, the latter benefitting from certain fiscal advantages.
