ING Bank Romania's business balances continue to grow, with a 16% increase in credit balance compared to the first semester of 2017, and the deposit balance by 26% higher than last year.
Positive business performance continued in ING Bank Romania in the first half of 2018, being defined by a significant increase in credit, based on more customers and larger volumes on all business lines, while the bank maintains a sustainable management policy of the risks.
The number of active clients increased by more than 155,000 in the past 12 months, reaching 1.2 million active customers. The number of clients with the salary at ING increased by more than 145,000, a 23% increase at a slower pace than the overall customer base, which was 15% from one year to the next. The digital model implemented over the past year has led to a record 60% online interaction with customers who receive the salary at ING.
