The performance of local sausage and dairy producers can be significantly affected, in the long run, by the COVID-19 pandemic

  • The price of raw materials in the dairy industry will remain at high levels compared to the period before the pandemic
  • At the same time, raw material costs in the sausage industry fell by about 2%
  • One of the major factors that make the dairy industry vulnerable to economic crises is the fact that Romania ranks first in the EU, with 72%, as a share of farms with less than ten dairy cows
