EY: 35% of Romanian elders present a poverty and social exclusion risk which is almost double compared to the EU

The average monthly pension in Romania is currently 200 euros, compared to Greece – 882 euros or France – 1,032 euros, according to a specialized study released on Friday.

In the EU, 18.3% of elders are in this situation. ‘According to the new data published by OECD, the International Labour Organization, the European Commission and the National Institute of Statistics, the ratio between the wage and the pension is, in average, relatively equal for contributors in Romania and those in the EU’, shows a study conducted by EY Romania, reports AGERPRES.
