Of them, only 3.5% intent to take over the business right after finishing their studies, according to the study ‘Coming home or breaking free?’, conducted by EY and St. Gallen University.
The desire to take over the family business slightly increases five years after graduation, when 4.9% of respondents state that they intent to take over the business.
Over 750 universities from 34 countries were involved in the study ‘Coming home or breaking free?’, with a total of 109,000 surveys being completed.
