After five years in which the number of fiscal controls in Romania has dropped dramatically - from 46,000 in 2016 to 24,000 in 2020, a year in which only the pandemic kept tax inspectors away, we can expect 2021 to be the year in which the tax office will turn in force to make up for lost time.
