The European Commission Regulation on products derived from deforestation (European Union Deforestation Regulation - EUDR), which prohibits the marketing of such goods in the EU, as well as their export to other markets, will enter into force on 31 December 2025. The deadline has been postponed by one year, so that those involved in operations with the targeted products have an additional period of time to prepare for compliance, a beneficial aspect, considering the complexity of the procedures imposed by the regulation. In Romania, in addition to other areas such as the retail area, a significant impact is anticipated on the automotive industry, especially the production of rubber tires.
