DAVOS – The World Food Programme of the United Nations (WFP) gave the Hunger Hero distinction to Ajay Banga, President and CEO of Mastercard, thus recognizing the contributions brought to reaching WFP’s goal, that of eliminating hunger.
The Hunger Hero distinction 2017 was given by WFP’s Executive Director, Ertharin Cousin, during the WFP dinner gala held at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
In the past five years, Mastercard and WFP have been working together towards an ambitious goal: eradicating hunger.
