Audi's new A1 Sportback is defined primarily by its dynamic design. The second generation of this compact, successful model is a perfect partner for the urban environment and is equally suitable for longer distance roads. Infotainment and assistance systems, specific to large-size cars, bring the A1 Sportback to the optimal connections with the digital world. Music lovers will enjoy an audio system with 11 speakers and a power of 560 watts.
A lightweight athlete in the city
The new A1 Sportback has a lightweight design with masculine and sporty notes. The wide Singleframe grille, positioned downstairs, along with side air intakes, dominates the front. The design of daytime LEDs, optionally available, reminds of the dynamic shapes of the wings in the nautical sport, the so-called hydrofolis.
The "Looking" concentrated downwards, along with the segments in the rhombus in the upper area of the headlights, complete the sporty look of the car. Chassis construction provides agile handling and driving experience.
In addition to the standard suspension, there is also a more rigid sports suspension option. Dynamic packages, individually tailored for each type of motor, include equipment that adds even more to the model's sportiness. The new A1 Sportback braking system can be finely tuned.
The optional ramp start assistant increases safety in slopes and ramps, preventing runoff after stopping. The range of wheels varies between 15 and 18 inches. The new A1 Sportback can also optionally benefit from the Audi drive select system, used to choose between four driving modes - auto, dynamic, efficient and individually.
Powerful engine variants
Whether it's a city trip or a weekend trip, the powerful engine outfitting the new model turns the drive into a pleasure. The model includes efficient TFSI engines with power from 70 kilowatts (95 hp) to 147 kilowatts (200 hp). All propellers benefit from turbocharging, direct injection and particle filter. Combined fuel consumption of this model varies between 4.6 and 6 liters / 100 kilometers, and combined carbon dioxide emissions are between 104 and 137 grams / kilometer.
Dozens of personalization variants
The ten-color range in which the car is available emphasizes the design language chosen for the new Sportback. Inside, the colors of the lighting strips can be adjusted to suit your preferences, and the roof is made in contrasting colors from the A-pillar to the spoiler.
Contrasting colors also include exterior mirror housings, side spoiler side pockets or side sills. A novelty in this model is the modular structure of the lines, which allows greater flexibility in combining design elements from the outside with the interior ones. Depending on the equipment line - base, Advanced or S - the additional exterior parts are executed differently.
More room for driver, passengers and luggage
Inside, the new model offers extra space to provide more comfort for the driver, front passenger and rear passengers. In length, A1 Sportback increased by 56 millimeters, now the car measuring 4.03 meters.
The width of 1.74 meters remained almost the same and the height of the new generation is 1.41 meters. The volume of the luggage compartment increased by 65 liters: in its normal condition, it has a volume of 335 liters and with the rear seat folded up to 1,090 liters. At a height of 67 centimeters and the loading threshold is at a comfortable level.
Luxury safety
The driver assistance systems provided by the new Audi A1 Sportback come from the luxury class. They keep the car at a correct distance from the front vehicle and help the driver keep the treadmill or assist him with the parking maneuvers.
The Tread Removal Warning System, available in standard equipment, helps the driver keep the car running on the treadmill at a speed of 65 km/h.
Audi pre sense front recognizes critical situations in front of the car with other vehicles, cross-country pedestrians or cyclists. Equipped with the new version of the parking assistant, the A1 Sportback runs in transverse parking spaces even with the front - if necessary from several maneuvers. The system can manage the exit from the side parking spaces.
Sound like in concert halls
The new Audi A1 Sportback is ready for the digital future. Even in the basic version, the car is equipped with fully digitized dashboard instruments with 10.25-inch high-resolution display plus multifunction steering wheel.
The Audi virtual cockpit, with optional extended functionality, offers comprehensive and versatile information, such as animated and graphic navigation maps of driver assistance systems, in the driver's immediate visual field.
The music lovers can enjoy a tuner for digital radio reception either with the Audi audio system or the premium Bang & Olufsen audio system. The model features 11 speakers with a total power of 560 watts.
