The insurance market in the first quarter of 2014

The Romanian insurance market (gross premiums) reached in the first quarter of 2014, 2.05 billion, down 3.43% compared to the same period last year.

The value of the gross written premiums(GWP), during January-March 2014, represents 1.26% of gross domestic product (GDP) estimated by the INS for the first quarter of this year.
