The Electronic Signature and Trust Services Law (no. 214/2024), long awaited especially by the business environment, was published yesterday in the Official Gazette and will enter into force in 3 months from this date, bringing more clarity regarding the legal effects of the various categories of electronic signatures, the type of electronic signature that must be used in order to ensure the validity of a document, but also the effects from the perspective of the evidence conditions, ensuring the legal framework for the application of the e-IDAS Regulation.
