“Within the cash management tools, Internet and electronic banking channels have a major importance. They facilitate the initiation of payment orders, direct debit transactions and account statements’ visualization. As we observed that over 95% of the payment orders of RBS corporate clients are initiated electronically, we consider that the accounting interface solutions with our Internet Banking platform will increase the efficiency of our clients’ financial departments. By implementing interface and reconciliation solutions developed in partnership with RBS Romania, the payments made via the Internet and electronic banking are imported directly from the company’s accounting system, thereby the working time is reduced,” explains Mircea Spinei, Head of Transactions Banking Services, RBS Romania. “This facility is dedicated especially to the clients with large volumes of payments, who can create a connection between the accounting system and the bank’s payment system, avoiding a number of manual operations and considerably reducing the error rate and time allocated for these operations,” Mircea Spinei added.
Moreover, RBS Romania’s clients also benefit from the possibility to import the statements received through Internet and electronic banking systems in the accounting system. The bank offers assistance to clients in defining the ways to import the statements and also the solutions of transactions automatic reconciliation, thereby increasing, for example, the percentage of the revenue automatically allocated by the system.
The Transactions Banking Services Department organized at the end of last year two seminars for corporate clients dedicated to the facilities offered by these services. Representatives from various companies that have had a significant volumes of revenue and payments realised through their accounts opened at RBS Romania attended the two seminars on “Integrating accounting systems platforms with Access Online Romania (AO – RO), the RBS Internet Banking Platform” organised in October and November 2012.
