The mobile app rewards its users for not texting while driving, by offering them points to be exchanged for discounts from partner companies. Once a driver exceeds 10 km/h, the SafeDrive algorithm starts awarding him points. If drivers ever want to use their phone while driving, they have to press the “You are Safer Now” button, which would result in losing the points they earned during the trip. When the drivers arrive at the destination, the points they earned during that trip are added to their account. SafeDrive points can be spent in the SafeDrive Marketplace, an ever-growing shop with discounted products from partner companies.
