Peugeot Citroen shuts down the local branch in Romania

PSA Peugeot Citroen, the largest car manufacturer in France reorganized its activities in Romania and shut down the local branch, while the import and distribution activities have been taken over by Citroën Trust Motors, importer of Peugeot since 1991

Citroen is present in Romania since 2007, through their subsidiary held in Bucharest. According to a statement of the carmaker, the brand sold over 28,000 vehicles in ten years on the Romanian car market.
Citroen has a network of 18 outlets that allowed him to reach in 2011 a market share of 2%, and a total of 22 authorized service units. Motor Trust will take over the employees of PSA Peugeot Citroen and Motors Citroen branch in Romania will begin operations on 1st of February 2013.
