Lufthansa Group appoints a new commercial director in Romania

Lufthansa Group appointed Zlatko Zlatic as Commercial Director for Romania and Moldova in March.

He will be based in Bucharest, where he will coordinate the commercial and sales operations of the airlines of the Lufthansa Group in Romania and Moldova.

Zlatko Zlatic (52 years old) contributes to his new position with extensive knowledge gained through a long management experience in the airlines. As an Economist, Zlatic began his career at Lufthansa Group in 2001 as Key Account Manager at Lufthansa Cargo. After two years as a Commercial Director in Frankfurt, he gained the practical knowledge of professional training by working with other departments. From the post of sales manager in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) from 2007 to 2009 and then in Algier between 2010 and 2015, Zlatic has gained a solid experience in commercial passenger business. Prior to relocating to Bucharest, he coordinated Lufthansa operations in Abuja (Nigeria).

Zlatko Zlatic will take over the position formerly occupied by Antonio Tassone, who becomes Regional Director for Egypt and North Africa at Lufthansa Cargo AG.

Lufthansa Group currently offers over 180 weekly flights from Romania to the four centers in Europe; Eurowings offers flights from Bucharest to Düsseldorf, Austrian Airlines operates on the Sibiu, Iasi and Bucharest routes to Vienna. Swiss has a flight connection from Bucharest to Zurich and Lufthansa offers flights from Cluj, Sibiu, Bucharest and Timisoara to Munich and Frankfurt.
