Within MWC 2019, LG Electronics (LG) will remind its audience of its reputation and history as a leader in sound on smartphones through its new LG G8 ThinQ phone with Crystal Sound OLED (CSO), an innovative technology that uses the OLED screen of the phone as an audio amplifier.
As more and more consumers use their smartphone as the main device that watches movies, plays and listens to music, the demand for mobile phones capable of delivering high-quality sound is greater than ever.
LG has always recognized the importance of high-quality sound on the smartphone in creating an impressive user experience, and this conviction continues with the launch of the new LG G8 ThinQ.
Designed right at LG, CSO technology gives new use to the OLED screen, like a diaphragm that vibrates across its entire surface to produce an impressive volume sound.
And as LG's unique technology takes full advantage of the screen, the CSO also improves clarity, making voices easier to distinguish, and subtle musical notes being easier to perceive.
In the loudspeaker mode, the sound offered has an impressive bass thanks to the lower speaker. Full and balanced stereo performance is possible, the two-channel audio system using this lower speaker and the top of the screen. In addition to improving sound quality, CSO technology gives the LG G8 ThinQ a clean, minimalist look.
Working closely with Meridian audio partner, LG brings back to the mobile experience an extraordinary sound fidelity, providing the well-calibrated sound quality that the company's customers expect from a premium phone. In addition, the new G series also features:
- DTS: X 3D Surround sound that emulates a 7.1 channel system with or withoutaudio headphones for LG's premiere
- The Quad DAC Hi-Fi converter enriches audiophile experience, reproducing sound with exceptional fidelity and adding the ability to reduce compression of most types of audio files for greater clarity and depth
- Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) support for high-quality audio streaming even without an unlimited data plan
- The Boombox diffuser takes advantage of the internal space of the phone, using it as a resonant camera, with which it generates strong bass and high volume
