Initiative Media: Globally media forecast for 2014

Initiative Media, part of the Interpublic MediaBrands group, pinpoints the most relevant media market conclusions for 2013 and provides a forecast for 2014, based on information from the most recent study on the global media market performed by MAGNA GLOBAL.

Internationally, one can observe a positive development of the economy, which is also reflected in the evolution of the volume of media spending, achieving an increase of 3.2% in 2013 compared to 2012. For the year 2014 it is expected to continue the upward trend globally, which will result in an increase of 6.5%, thus leading to global media expenses of 521.6 billion dollars, the most significant annual increase in the last four years.
