According to Paralela 45 statistics, this summer brings a 20% increase in sales of vacation packages for seniors, compared to the sales figures in summer, last year. The favorite destinations of seniors are Istanbul, Athens, Rome and Costa Blanca.
"Most tourists who buy such packages are from urban areas, have a superior education and an income above the average. In only 10% of the cases the holidays are purchased as a gift from children, most of them being bought even by them, with 3-4 months in advance", said Alin Burcea, president of Paralela 45.
