According to the official data of the Ministry of Finance, only in the first five months of the current year, the number of tax inspections was almost 10,000, with more than 1 billion lei added to the state budget. In other words, the Authority's actions were intensified, with a 10% increase in tax controls compared to 2023. On the other hand, the number of compliance notices sent to taxpayers also increased almost four times (in 2024 compared to the previous year) , all in the context of the need to reduce the budget deficit, but also to combat fiscal fraud in the country's economy.
