The ranking is based on the preferences of almost 94,000 business students from the world’s top academic institutions in the largest 12 economies by GDP. As well as ranking as the leading professional services organization in six out of the twelve markets, EY also featured as one of the top fifteen employers overall in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Russia, United Kingdom and the United States.
“We congratulate EY for its great achievement. Being seen by students as an ideal employer is something to be celebrated. As a CEO, I understand the value in being able to attract, recruit and retain the top performers. EY excels in this area and thus has a competitive talent advantage”, said Petter Nylander, CEO of Universum.
Bogdan Ion, Country Managing Partner, EY Romania: “Romania was not part of the countries analyzed in the Universum report but, according to the study Trendence Graduate Barometer 2013, EY is the third preferred employer by young graduates with the highest academic achievements in Romania. This ranking is supported by over 2,000 applications received from college graduates in the recruitment campaign for juniors this year".
“When thinking about future careers, students are looking for employers who are successful in their market and for business leaders supporting the development of their people, offering them professional opportunities on a continual basis. References that they have received about EY, both through participation in events organized by the company and through social media channels that the current generation credits in particular, confirm the ability of EY to attract the best candidates. Their appraisal, as evidenced also by the Universum ranking, engages us stronger in our ambition to provide our employees with an exceptional experience in the company,” comments Andreea Mihnea, HR Director, EY Romania.
