Alexandra has almost 15 years of experience in tax advisory. Previously, she was a Director with another Big 4 company.

From this role, I plan to be involved in legislative proposals that impact the economy in general and the companies in our economy and to promote fair tax standards and predictability of the tax system, conditions without which Romania cannot have a continuous and sustainable development”, Alexandra Smedoiu said.
Throughout time, she has coordinated numerous projects both locally and internationally, especially for clients in the financial services industry, but also for companies from the real estate sector. Her professional experience includes a wide array of projects from tax reviews and tax audits, to assistance with mergers and acquisitions and tax controls. Alexandra is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants, a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from the United Kingdom, a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation from the United Kingdom (ADIT), and a member of the Charted Financial Analyst Institute CFA. Alexandra is also vice-president of CFA Romania, the Romanian association of chartered financial analysts CFA.
With a team of 150 employees, Deloitte Tax is currently coordinated by six partners and eight directors.
