CPAG invites companies to the first Korea–Romania AI/AX Business Forum

The online forum on 19 November 2026 will create direct channels of cooperation between Romanian and Korean companies in AI and AI transformation (AX)

Consilium Policy Advisors Group (CPAG) invites companies from Romania and Korea to the first edition of the Korea–Romania AI/AX Business Forum. The event will take place online on Thursday, 19 November 2026, from 11:00 to 12:40 (Romanian time), in English. The forum is organised by CPAG together with Korelation Co., Ltd.

The European Union and Korea already have an open framework for cooperation, and the forum aims to create direct channels for collaboration between companies in the two countries. This first edition lays the groundwork for the initiative: understanding companies’ needs, giving each participating organisation visibility among potential partners, and facilitating the first 1:1 meetings.

Why this is an opportunity for Romanian companies

Korea has been a strategic partner of Romania since 2008, and the partnership was further strengthened in 2024. It is the world’s fourth-largest market for industrial robot installations (IFR, 2024). Korean AX solution providers seeking to establish a presence in the EU also need local implementation partners, and Romanian IT companies can fill that role.

Participation is open to solution providers, integrators, investors and research organisations, as well as companies and public institutions from any sector seeking to adopt AI and AX solutions for their own digitalisation or interested in these topics.

Opportunities for participating Romanian companies:

• direct access to Korean AI/AX solution providers, technology companies and investors, online and without the need to travel;

• visibility in the joint participant catalogue, which Korean companies will review before the forum;

• 1:1 meetings with partners who have expressed mutual interest, facilitated by the organisers;

• practical insights into the Korean AI/AX market and how Korean companies and regions are implementing AI transformation;

• opportunities for collaboration in both directions: technology partnerships and joint projects, AI/AX solutions for their own digitalisation, entry into the Korean market, and contacts with Korean companies looking to invest in Romania and the EU.

The agenda will cover the investment environment in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe, EU and Romanian AI policies, case studies from Romania’s AI industry and regional AI transformation in Korea, followed by a joint panel discussion.

Event partners include the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Korea (institutional partner), Transilvania IT Cluster and Daegu-Gyeongbuk AX Association (industry and ecosystem partners), SYP Co., Ltd. (corporate partner) and Financial Intelligence (media partner).

Based on the registration forms, the organisers will prepare a joint catalogue of Romanian and Korean companies, which will be shared with participants before the forum. After the event, online 1:1 meetings will be facilitated between companies that express mutual interest.

Participation is free of charge for companies from Romania, and registration is open until 6 November via the form available at forms.cloud.microsoft/e/LQcA9DmANP.
